Michael D. Mitchell
Michael has been actively involved in business management, business ownership, and business consulting since he graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering in 1982. After working for large corporations in a variety of research, sales, marketing, and business management positions he decided to increase his business knowledge and skills so he earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Soon, his entrepreneurial spirit took hold and he left the safety of corporate life to become his own boss. He started several businesses involved with real estate, sales and marketing, and business consulting. After selling these businesses he started his own Business Brokerage firm in 2006. Michael’s knowledge of small business from the inside out gives him a unique advantage in understanding the challenges faced by small business owners. After 10+ years as a business intermediary Michael is highly regarded by his peers and business owners throughout Virginia.
Originally from Maryland, Phil has called Virginia home since graduating from Frostburg State in 2007. With a BS in Marketing, he began his sales career with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Four years later he was afforded an opportunity to work for a non-profit where he would add Event Management and Operations to his resume. In early 2016 Phil and his family decided it was time for a change and moved south to Richmond. Though it wasn’t an easy transition, he will tell you it was one of the best decisions he has ever made. After a decade in sales and marketing, Phil has learned that his most powerful tool is his resourcefulness.
